Like everything else, the Democrats and their cheerleaders have overplayed their hand on the January 6th "armed insurrection." They somehow forgot about over 200 riots last summer, 2,000 injured cops, billions in property destruction, 30 deaths, and massive vandalization. At the Capitol, there was only one related death, an unarmed woman protestor who weighed about 120 pounds shot dead by an unnamed Capitol cop. There were no shots fired inside, no weapons confiscated, and almost no property loss. Those arrested are still incarcerated despite misdemeanor charges, which sounds like cruel and unusual punishment to me. Conservative protestors were acting out their frustrations of perceived disenfranchisement and voter fraud and got caught up in a regrettable riot, but it wasn't close to any real insurrection to overthrow our government. Some of the arrested were clearly goofballs in awe that the doors opened up for them. Some of them were antifa and BLM, too. I believe the January 6 events are not even close to the liberal and anarchist threat that was consistently violent and tacitly supported by Democrat leaders. They will ruin a great nation with lies and violence for the authoritarian power they crave.
