LB Cole - First of all, I was responding to Suzanne Rosser's incorrect comment that Steele's work was originally hired by republicans – Fusion GPS yes, Steele no. Steele was brought on board by Fusion GPS after Hillary Clinton and the DNC hired Fusion GPS to compile research on Donald Trump, including possible Russia connections. Steele was hired for that specific task because of his past Russian contacts as a MI6 British agent. So you have the Clinton campaign and the DNC paying democratic law firm Perkins Coie, who in turn paid Fusion GPS, who in turn paid Christopher Steele. DNC money paid Christopher Steele's salary.

Carter Page NEVER testified that he didn't go to Russia or talk to Pres. Trump's senior officials, just not Paul Manafort. Page told everybody he had been in Russia just not at the time Steele said he was. Page helped the CORRUPT FBI..BUST..some Russians back in 2015 and then the CORRUPT FBI promptly said he was an agent for Russia in 2016. Notice Carter Page has NEVER been indicted for anything and never will be. Also notice Page never received that interest in Rosneft that Steele stated he did. I give this artyicle a PANTS-ON-FIRE rating

Rui Pinto, 30, was detained in Hungary on Jan. 16 on a European arrest warrant issued by Portuguese authorities on suspicion of extortion and secrecy violations. His's lawyers plan to appeal against the court decision to extradite their client to Portugal for trial.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo lost a bid for dismissal or complete secrecy in a federal lawsuit by a woman who accuses him of raping her at a Las Vegas resort in 2009.
Larissa Drohobyczer, attorney for Ronaldo's accuser, Kathryn Mayorga, said Friday she's satisfied with U.S. District Judge Jennifer Dorsey's ruling.
Ronaldo's attorney, Peter Christiansen, declined to comment.
Mayorga's lawsuit seeks monetary damages. It alleges that Ronaldo or people working for him allowed word to become public last year of his $375,000 hush-money settlement with Mayorga 10 years ago.
The judge on Wednesday rejected Ronaldo's claim that releasing court records risks public scandal and would harm Ronaldo's reputation and endorsements.
However, she called the 2009 agreement between Ronaldo and Mayorga a private contract and said it will remain sealed.

Why prosecutors declined to bring charges
The Clark County District Attorney's Office confirmed on Monday that Mayorga called police to report the incident on June 13.
Detectives met her at the hospital, but she refused to identify the perpetrator or disclose where the crime occurred, the statement said.
"As a result, the police were unable to follow investigative protocols for sexual assault cases or to conduct any meaningful investigation. Without knowing the identity of the perpetrator or the location of the crime, detectives were unable to search for and impound vital forensic evidence," according to the statement.
"In addition, video evidence, showing interactions between the victim and perpetrator before and after the alleged crime, was lost."
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reopened the case at her request in August 2018, according to the District Attorney's Office.
The request for prosecution was sent to the district attorney's office in July, the statement said.
"Based upon a review of the information presented at this time, the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, no charges will be forthcoming," the statement said.
Mayorga's lawyer told CNN in 2018 that she was inspired to come forward by the #MeToo movement.
By that time, a sports website had already leaked copies of documents and communications from the mediation discussions to Der Spiegel, which had published a detailed account of the allegations in April 2017.
Mayorga retained legal counsel, fearful that she might be linked to the article -- and deemed in violation of the settlement -- even though she did not speak to Der Spiegel and was not named in the article, her lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer told CNN in 2018.
She decided to move forward with the lawsuit after her team obtained corroboration of her account, Drohobyczer said.
In a interview later published by Der Spiegel in 2018, in which she was identified for the first time, she said that she had followed the online reaction to the original story closely.
She had taken notice of comments about the athlete's desirability, she told the magazine, including statements to the effect of, "As if Ronaldo even needs to rape a woman."
Those statements mirrored thoughts she once had about Ronaldo, she told the magazine. But she wasn't going to be silent any more.

Prosecutors described the situation in detail ...
"On June 13, 2009, a female victim ('V') placed a call to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and reported that she had been the victim of sexual assault. Members of law enforcement responded to her location to take a crime report. Police transported V to the hospital so that a sexual assault examination could be conducted."
"A short time later, sexual assault detectives arrived at the hospital and made contact with V. Although she knew who the person was who assaulted her, V refused to identify him or disclose where the crime occurred. As a result, the police were unable to follow investigative protocols for sexual assault cases or to conduct any meaningful investigation. Without knowing the identity of the perpetrator or the location of the crime, detectives were unable to search for and impound vital forensic evidence. In addition, video evidence, showing interactions between the victim and perpetrator before and after the alleged crime, was lost. The criminal investigation was closed."
"V and Cristiano Ronaldo, through their respective attorneys, eventually reached a civil settlement related to this matter in 2010. For the next eight years, law enforcement heard nothing more from V regarding the crime or the perpetrator."
"On August 28, 2018, V contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, asking that her sexual assault investigation be reopened, naming Cristiano Ronaldo as the offender. In spite of the passage of over nine years, Metro investigated her allegations."
"A Request for Prosecution was submitted to the District Attorney’s Office on July 8, 2019. Based upon a review of the information presented at this time, the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, no charges will be forthcoming."
